Tire mold

Tire mold, is the key equipment for vulcanization molding all kinds of tires. Its main function is to shape and vulcanize the raw tire under high temperature and high pressure, and give the final pattern, structure and performance characteristics of the tire. According to different structures, tire molds are mainly divided into two types: Movable mold: It is composed of a pattern ring, a mold sleeve and a side plate, and is suitable for radial tires. Its sector module can be opened and closed radially to achieve complex pattern design, with high processing accuracy, and is widely used in high-performance tire production. Two-half mold: It is composed of an upper mold and a lower mold. The structure is simple. It is often used in bias tires or radial tires with shallow patterns, and the manufacturing cost is low. Modern tire molds are mostly made of high-strength alloy steel or aluminum alloy, and need to have good thermal stability and wear resistance. With the development of new energy vehicles, the market demand for low rolling resistance and high wear resistance tires has promoted the upgrading of high-precision mold technology, and new technologies such as laser cleaning and 3D printing have been gradually applied to mold manufacturing and maintenance.

Tire vulcanization molds are mainly divided into two categories according to the structure:Active moldUsually used in radial tires. It is characterized by dividing the model of the tire tread part into several fan-shaped modules (pattern rings), which can slide along the inclined surface of the guide ring to achieve radial opening and closing. After closing, it forms a complete mold cavity with the upper and lower tread side plates. According to the guiding method, it is mainly divided into two forms: conical guide (line contact, simple to manufacture but easy to local wear) and inclined plane guide (surface contact, smooth sliding but difficult to manufacture).Two halves moldUsually suitable for bias tires, it can also be used for radial tires with shallow pattern depth. The model takes the center of the tire section as the parting surface and is divided into two parts, the upper mold and the lower mold, to form a complete tire cavity.
